Agro Processing and Allied Products (AP&AP) is MeTL Group’s multi-unit grain and rice milling company. Our wheat mill is strategically located in Kurasini near the Dar es Salaam harbor and is equipped with the world’s best milling Swiss-made Buhler machines. With a capacity to mill over 240 tons of wheat per day, our quality flour is marketed across Tanzania through the Group’s well-established branch network.

Our branch office in Dubai markets wheat bran and pollard (by-products) in the Middle East and beyond. We, at AP&AP, are expanding our production capacity further by investing in an additional 1,000 tons per day wheat Buhler mill to meet the fast growing demand of our wheat our in the country and in neighboring markets also.

In our Mbezi maize milling plant in Dar es Salaam, we process maize at a capacity of 300 tons a day. Reputed to produce the best quality sifted maize flour in the country, known as Mo Sembe and Super Mo Sembe, our Mbezi mill is one of the largest maize milling plant in the country.

We have several rice milling plants located throughout the country: Mbeya, Shinyanga, Mwanza and Tabora with a total combined processing capacity of 240 tons per day. Finished rice is sold throughout the country and the process by-product is utilized to generate steam in our boilers in other MeTL Group factories situated in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro and Tanga.

Currently AP&AP is involved in renovating a daal (pulses) plant in Dar es Salaam that is equipped with select machinery from Switzerland and India. This plant will clean, split and de-husk the pulses at a capacity of 32 tons a day after which the processed pulses will be exported internationally.
